Let’s Play BALL! Montgomery Kimchi & Korean Heritage Night
Think about it! Could you ever imagine a baseball team changing its name for one night to celebrate the Korean residents in the Montgomery area? Well, it will happen on July 16th at the Biscuits Stadium in Montgomery, Al. It is an effort that we started as a partner and planning Before the pandemic, A-KEEP, and the General manager, Michael Murphy started discussions and plans continued until it finally came to life this season.
On July 16th at 6: 35 pm, the first pitch is scheduled to begin. Pre-game activities will allow A-KEEP to present what we do to offer Korean language and culture to bridge the gap of cultural differences and similarities between Alabama and Korea. We are very proud to present to the Montgomery baseball fans the benefits and achievements of our programs, especially the play The Devoted Daughter of the Sims at the Davis Theater the next Friday evening, July 23rd. The Montgomery Biscuits will wear the jerseys which acknowledges the food most common to Koreans – Kimchi. You can purchase a souvenir jersey from that game by bidding for it in an auction –BIDDING starts Friday!
