Say Hello to Mrs. JiYoung
Mrs. JiYoung Lee came to A-KEEP this past spring. In her pursuit of a Korean teaching certificate, she found A-KEEP and began her journey volunteering as a tutor for our Community KSL (Korean as A Second Language) program. Through the program, she decided to continue her pursuits and became our Korean specialist for Pike Road Elementary School.
School is in full swing, and Mrs. JiYoung is enjoying her learners. In their first week, her 3rd graders have already learned the names of more than 5 animals and can count from 1-7 in Korean. As a mother of a five-year-old son, JiYoung can relate to her learners. She is excited to get to know them more and to help them in their Korean learning journey. A-KEEP is happy to have JiYoung and our continued partnership with Pike Road Schools.
A-KEEP currently provides Korean language and culture programs at various schools from Elementary to High School and a hybrid-program for the community. This year we began an accredited program at Pike Road High School. To learn more about our Korean programs please visit: A-KEEP KSL K-12 Programs and Community Programs.
