AKEEP Partners with Pike Road Schools for Immersive Korean-Language Summer Camp
Montgomery, AL – The Alabama-Korea Education and Economic Partnership (A-KEEP) and Pike Road Schools (PRS) will host an intensive Korean Language and Culture, non-residential summer camp titled Catch the K-Wave at Pike Road Historic Middle School for rising 6th to current 8th grade students Monday – Friday, July 8th – 26th.
Students do not need nor are expected to have any prior knowledge in Korean language or culture, but they should have a willingness to learn and explore! The $190 program fee includes Korean language classes, k-pop dance lessons, all learning materials, a commemorative tote bag, activities, daily lunch, snacks, and a T-Shirt.
The program aims to give students cultural awareness and appreciation, develop cognitive and critical thinking skills and improve presentational skills. Registration for Catch the K-Wave is currently open to rising 6th to current 8th grade students in Pike Road, Montgomery and surrounding areas until April 30th with limited space. Parents can register their students at www.akeep.org.
