LOCAL NONPROFIT INVITES MONTGOMERY TO LEARN KOREAN

AKEEP to offer Korean language classes

MONTGOMERY, AL – By popular demand, the Alabama-Korea Education and Economic Partnership (AKEEP) now offers Korean as a Second Language (KSL) classes on Mondays from September 17 through December 10 with an orientation on Monday, September 10.

The Community KSL Class comes in response to a successful STARTALK KSL youth summer program hosted by AKEEP and Troy University Montgomery. The summer program invited 4th – 8th grade students to learn about Korean language and culture for 3 weeks following a themed curriculum endorsed by the National Foreign Language Center.

This fall’s Community KSL Classes are taught by AKEEP Executive Director and native Korean speaker, Meesoon Han. The classes will introduce teen and adults to Korean language and culture once a week for 13 weeks total. Classes are held in Downtown Montgomery at the RSA Union Tower from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. located at 100 North Union Street, beginning September 17th. Tuition is $130 and includes all learning materials.
