Yes, you heard it right! AKEEP and PRS will host its annual Korean language summer camp program from July 6th to July 23rd for a 3rd year.

A-KEEP (Alabama Korea Education & Economic Partnership) and Pike Road Schools have partnered to offer a 3-week Korean language and culture program, STARTALK: Catch the K-Wave. This year’s theme “Catch the K-Wave: With Friends” provides an intensive language and cultural learning experience to students through a national standards-based and thematically organized curriculum. This is a traditional and virtual, accredited program open to rising 6th to 12th-grade students depending on their desire. These courses, noncredit, Korean Exploratory A or B can be continued for Pike Road Students during the school year and other students can receive 90 hours (1/2 unit) of foreign language credit registered through Pike Road School that can be transferred to his/her school. Students do not need nor are expected to have any prior knowledge of the Korean language or culture but should have a willingness to learn and explore!
