STARTALK Korean Language Summer Camp
Catch the K-Wave provides an intensive Korean language and cultural learning experience to students through a standards-based and thematically organized curriculum.
The 3-week summer program, is a traditional and virtual, accredited program via Pike Road Schools and open to a limited number of rising 7th to 12th grade students. Apply early to secure your spot!
Students do not need nor are expected to have any prior knowledge in Korean language or culture, but should have a willingness to learn and explore!
Ms. Meesoon Han, Executive Director of Alabama-Korea Education & Economic Partnership, leads the program with a team of educators experienced in Korean language and culture. By the end of the fun-packed 91 face-time and/or instructional hours, our students will perform at novice-mid or higher level per ACTFL standards and will be able to greet, introduce themselves to Korean-native speakers, and may initiate a brief conversation using culturally appropriate register, titles, and gestures.
Complete the application, medical, and consent forms below and email to startalk@akeep.org for consideration.
